Most people who join a fitness programs have losing body fat as a major goal. Pulse45 sessions are designed for males to burn 800-100 calories in a :45 session, females typically burn 600-800. Compare that to time spent on a treadmill, for example, and you’ll see the calorie burn for most is double in pulse45.
Resistance training, as in a pulse45 session, creates a superior calorie burn both during and after exercise. In a recent study published in the Journal of Science and Medicine in Sport, research showed that including resistance training in with more cardio based workouts essentially turned our bodies into more effective calorie burners. I've heard it said that the body starts falling apart at 50. Well, I didn't fall apart, but I developed a shoulder issue that limited the range of motion in my left shoulder. I would ask my husband to help me put on jackets because I had difficulty lifting my left arm into the sleeve. I accepted this, doing nothing to improve the condition of my arm. I was in decent shape otherwise, had grown tired of the gym scene, and frequently ran as my main form of exercise. My neighbor invited me to attend a Pulse 45 session at Max Results Training. After meeting Jim and Marian and talking with them about my fitness goals, I decided to begin personal training to 'tone up'. I originally didn't tell Marian about my shoulder issue, but she discovered the lack of mobility and arm strength during my training sessions. The encouragement and support I received from both Jim and Marian, in addition to following an exercise plan designed specifically for me, fueled my desire to improve my overall fitness level. Pulse 45 has been a game changer for my life. I have been a client almost 4 years, and this facility has changed my life in so many ways. We are not given a good life or a bad life, but all given life, what we choose to do with it is totally up to us. Pulse 45 has done just that. I am 62 years old and in the best shape of my life thanks to Pulse 45. The workouts are an excellent combination of strength, cardio and high intensity interval training. You will gain strength and a healthier heart, as well as receive sound nutritional advice... all the things necessary for good health and longevity, as well as weight loss if that is your goal. The trainers manage to combine hard work with a fun and friendly atmosphere, creating a group camaraderie that feels like family. I can't stress enough the effectiveness of this 45 minute workout. This gym has something really special taking place! One by one I am seeing Pulse 45 change the lives of some of the most amazing people! I will by 45 in July. Growing up I was athletic and didn't worry about what I ate, but as I got older and began to have children I found myself overweight and tired most of the time. This year I decided that I wanted to be "fit by 45" and to regain some of my muscle and athleticism that I had in my younger years. I questioned if it was even possible at my age. I have been a member of EVERY gym in town. I have counted points, macros, and fat grams. Believe me I have tried every fad and quick fix. I would have some short term success, but I never was able to sustain the weight loss. By chance meeting, I found Pulse 45, and I am so thankful that I did. The owners have so much knowledge about health and nutrition, and they are so encouraging! The trainers are top notch and care so much about each member. This group fitness family is AMAZING! I enjoy every person that I work out with at Pulse. The workouts will kick your tail, but it never gets boring! The workout goes by so fast because of the variety of machines and weights/exercises. Since, February 2019, I have lost inches from every area on my body and 24 lbs. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. Pulse45 provides a complete and comprehensive workout in an environment that is positive and encouraging. As someone who is NOT a gym rat, I have really appreciated the guidance I receive each time I work out and the ability to modify each exercise or activity to meet my level of strength and fitness. I am feeling especially grateful today. After a 9 week absence due to the COVID closure, I am so reminded of the benefits after being back in the gym. I walked consistently and did at home workouts during the 9 week pause. It does not compare to what Marian, Jim and Jose plan for me in a workout.
